Time Sensei is a timing game. This policy describes exactly what the app collects, why, and who else can see it. It is written against what the app actually does: every item below corresponds to real code and a real database table.

The short version

What the app collects

An anonymous account

The first time you open Time Sensei it creates an anonymous account automatically. This is a random identifier, not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID, unless you choose to sign in. Stored with it: a randomly generated display name, the creation date, and your chosen app language.

Why: so your scores belong to something, and so your progress can survive a reinstall if you later sign in.

Your scores

Every completed round records the game mode, the score, and how far off the target you were, with a timestamp. Survival runs additionally record how many rounds you survived and your average error.

Why: rankings and your own performance history.

Crash and error reports

When something goes wrong, the app sends a diagnostic report containing the error, a stack trace, and basic technical context such as your device model and operating system version. These are processed by Sentry.

Why: so faults get found and fixed. Crash reports are not used to build a profile of you.

Notification token

If you turn on notifications, iOS issues a token that lets us send you a push message. It identifies the installation, not you. If notifications are off, no token is stored.

If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google

Signing in is optional and exists only so your progress survives changing or resetting your device. If you use it, the provider you pick sends us an account identifier and an email address, with Apple, depending on the choice you make in its own dialog, that may be a private relay address instead. You can play the whole game without ever doing this.

What stays only on your device

The following never leaves your phone. It lives in the app's local storage and is deleted when you delete the app:

Who processes your data

ServiceWhat it handlesWhere
SupabaseAccount, scores, notification tokenCloud database
SentryCrash and error reportsCloud, EU region
GoogleSign in with GoogleGoogle's own services
AppleSign in with Apple, push delivery, App Store analyticsApple's own services
Google AdMobAdvertising, and an advertising identifier if you allow oneGoogle's own services

Supabase, Sentry, Apple and Google Sign-In are used strictly to operate the app, and none of them is given your data for their own advertising or profiling. AdMob is the exception, because showing ads is what it is for. What it receives is described in the next section.

Tracking and advertising

Time Sensei shows ads through Google AdMob.

Ads never appear during a round. At most three a day, at least four minutes apart, and only when you leave a finished Survival run or close your daily recap. None at all until you have played twenty rounds. One further ad is entirely optional and appears only if you choose it: after a missed day, watching it protects your streak instead of losing it.

To show an ad, AdMob receives your device's IP address, general device information, and an advertising identifier if you have allowed one. On iOS the app asks for that permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you still see ads. They are simply chosen without that identifier and are less relevant. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form before it requests any ad, and your choice there governs whether ads are personalised.

Ads are limited to content Google rates as suitable for general audiences. Nothing else in the app tracks you across other companies' apps or websites, and your scores, streak and account are never shared with advertisers.

How long data is kept

Scores and account records are kept while your account exists. Crash reports are kept for a limited retention window by Sentry and then deleted automatically.

Your choices

Children

Time Sensei is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. Nothing in the app asks a player their age, because the app has no reason to know it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes rather than made quietly.
